A nice, short explanation as to why mentoring matters:
‘Informal and formal mentoring networks are important components that contribute to personal and career growth. Mentoring has a direct impact on personal life choices and career advancement. If leaders of tomorrow are to be created we need leaders of today to lend a hand in all areas of life and in all arenas. This means in the boardroom, classroom, bus depot, church, corner store, neighborhood boys/girls clubs, entertainment arena, magazines, etc. It is time for everyone to be held accountable for the society which has been created. If we are to take our future back we must start by mentoring today and every day. Why??? Why Not??? MENTORING MATTERS!!!’
